First assignment in Maya. It's a pretty interesting program. I don't really know if I like UDK better or worse yet. Give me a couple more months and I might have an answer...

Right now, we're working on modular building kits for our maps. I'll be sure to post up my progress as soon as possible! As for the map in UDK, i have these to show...

The next ones you'll see are the changes I made after our first critique...

Just wait till you see the finished product!

Alright, well. The fate of this blog will be decided in about a week. Till then, i'll be posting up a lot of new things. For starters, here's a piece I did last year that i recently updated in photoshop. Hope you enjoy!

So I don't know what's going on but I got a message from the blogmasters of Google.com, and they're going to delete this account in 20 days unless I write a report. Apparently im spamming too many things... I sent them a stern message that I need this blog for my class. We'll see how this turns out.

May the gods of Google be just!..

In the mean time, here's some more spam!

Now howbout some naked old men!?

In this first perspective assignment, we had to draw something relating to a "monster in the bedroom." I went with something a little bit out of the ordinary I think, but personally, puppets creep me out...

This was a sequential assignment in my second semester figure drawing class. We had to do a sequence drawing for a disney move. I chose the bleakest of them all, The Hunchback of Notre Dame...

For this project, we created a still drawing/painting from a particular movie using a media we were uncomfortable with. The movie I selected was The King and I. Can you guess the media?..

This was another sequential assignment from figure drawing. However, this one had to be a live action movie of our choice. I selected Troy. When Achilles slays the warrior, Boagrius...

This project took a lot of time. For our 3D Design class, we had to make a three dimensional, miniature room of our choice. The assignment was called the Thorne Room, after a famous dollhouse-maker. I think I took the name a bit too literal...

This was a redone assignment after the King and I drawing was turned in. I was informed that my lady on the left looked like the Joker. I decided to start fresh with a different movie...

The next two images are character sheets for my Traditional Animation class. We pulled a particular animal name out of a hat at random. Whatever, creature we got, we had to animate as a character. I created Skeeter, the Redneck Opossum!..

Once I figure out how to post my animations up. You might just see the finished project from last year...

Hope you enjoyed these few second semester assignments!

Nice. Some actual (Game) art!..

This is a tutorial we had to take to get accustomed to UDK. We made two different rooms, connected by a sliding, metal door. Check it out.

FIRST ROOM

SECOND ROOM

Sunday, September 9, 2012

This first project was understanding basic 1 pt perspective. We followed a tutorial for the pillars and the arches. After this was done, we were told to incorporate three figures into the image. I tried my best to depict a simple story...

This project was another tutorial on 2 pt perspective. In this room, we had to incorporate a table, a chair, two windows, and a door. The rest was up to the student...

This was our first free project. I don't remember the exact rules of this assignment, but it involved making a city with 2 pt perspective. When the project was critiqued, I was told that my drawing had 'too much' detail. At the time, I though the remark was bullshit. Yet, now when I look at it, I couldn't agree more...

This was yet another two point cityscape assignment. We were given three images of buildings. We chose one image, incorporating the building into our customized city. I chose the church house...
Personally, this was my favorite assignment from first semester. We had to make a 2 pt room of our choice, incorporating light sources and a storyline. I chose a viking great hall, where several jarls discuss battle tactics...

For this assignment. We had to create a 3 pt perspective city, using either birds eye view or worms eye view. I decided upon a futuristic city filled with advertisements and super highways. The three characters you see in the foreground are bank robbers, and they are very professional...

This project was very similar to the church/cityscape assignment. Once again, we had to incorporate an image of a particular building into our scene. This was the first assignment we were allowed to use digital paint...

Hope you enjoyed these!
